The second section of Lorestan University's Zoology Museum has been inaugurated.

The second section of Lorestan University's Zoology Museum was inaugurated to introduce marine animals of the Persian Gulf, with the presence of a group of managers and academics from Lorestan University, including Dr. Hossein Hatami, Head of the Vice-Presidency for Research and Technology of the University.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the second section of the museum houses a collection of marine animals from the Persian Gulf.
The tenth of Ordibehesht (a month in the Iranian calendar) each year has been designated as the National Day of the Persian Gulf.
Following the inauguration, a group of managers and faculty members from Lorestan University visited the Zoology Museum and became acquainted with various sections, including terrestrial animals, saltwater animals, freshwater animals, animal fossils, the zoology art section, and others, and discussions were held regarding the opportunities and future prospects of the museum.
Dr. Hossein Hatami, Head of the Vice-Presidency for Research and Technology of Lorestan University, while appreciating such an initiative as the university's first museum, emphasized the support of this vice-presidency for the quantitative and qualitative expansion of the museum and the necessity of obtaining international standards.
In this visit, which was attended by Dr. Seyed Esmaeil Ghasemi Mousavi, Head of the Azfa Center, and several medical students from the International Unit of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences from Pakistan, the importance of practical training with the presence of animal specimens (venomous species of various animals, including snakes and fish) was discussed.
At the end, Dr. Ali Gholamifard, founder and director of the museum and a faculty member of the Biology Department of the Faculty of Basic Sciences of Lorestan University, while congratulating on the occasion of the National Day of the Persian Gulf and appreciating and thanking the university managers for providing the current location of the museum and purchasing equipment for preserving the specimens, and thanking the students for their assistance in connection with the museum, spoke of his heartfelt and scientific concern for commemorating the position of the Persian Gulf and in a specialized manner, as well as the further quantitative and qualitative progress of the scientific level of Lorestan University.
He explained: "This museum has a long way to go before it becomes a comprehensive natural history museum that encompasses various scientific dimensions and is worthy of the great Lorestan University, and it is now one of the spiritual and material assets of Lorestan University and belongs to everyone, which can fulfill the educational and research needs of various educational groups to its share."
Dr. Gholamifard stated: "The wide and unique variety of specimens of various animals, especially reptiles and fish, as well as marine invertebrates, are among the characteristics of the Zoology Museum of Lorestan University."
Dr. Gholamifard stated: "By the grace of God and with the strengthening of structural support, I hope that another new and diverse section will be added to this museum so that the richness of the museum will be increased by increasing the variety of species."
