A Khuzestan Artist Donates His First Collection of Artistic and Scientific Handcrafts to the Lorestan University Zoology Museum.
According to the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, Masoud Khakzadeh, a Master of Biology and a Secretary of Education in the city of Shushtar, Khuzestan province, donated his first collection of artistic and scientific handicrafts, titled "Wildlife Equilibrium Collection," to the Lorestan University Zoology Museum.
This talented artist, in line with his scientific and educational mission, created a unique symbolic collection (36 works) of prominent animal species of Iranian and global wildlife, such as the Lorestan newt, the Iranian squirrel, the gray wolf, the African elephant, and others. These were crafted with artistic creativity and after calculations, from a single piece of metal wire without any breaks, each of these artworks possessing the characteristic of oscillation while maintaining balance.
Educating about the recognition of wildlife species from biodiversity is possible through various methods, including art, and art has had an unbreakable bond with biodiversity from divine creation throughout history; therefore, it can captivate audiences of different ages.
The first phase of the Lorestan University Zoology Museum was inaugurated on March 12, 2024, in the ground floor hall of the Central Library of Lorestan University, and is currently expanding and enriching.
The donation of various collections by philanthropists and enthusiasts is among the ways to enrich any museum.
The wife and son of Masoud Khakzadeh, with higher education, are graduates of Lorestan University, which is among the motivations of this artist in creating and donating this spiritual art collection.
A plaque of appreciation, signed by Dr. Ali Nazari, President of Lorestan University, and Dr. Mostafa Karampour, Vice President for Research and Technology of this university, was presented to this talented artist by Dr. Ali Gholamifard, Director of the Lorestan University Zoology Museum.
